Challenge :

Here are the Requirements:
> My viz is 875×2150. Your’s doesn’t have to be this size, but I thought I’d provide it for guidance.
> I’m using the Source Sans Pro font, which you can download from Google Fonts. This is the font that Matt used in his version.
> The years should be displayed every 10 years.
> The axis line on for the year should be more distinct than the gridlines.
> The ends of each line should be color-coded by whether it was an increase or decrease compared to the national average. You will need to calculate the national average.
> The national average needs to include the District of Columbia, but D.C. should not have its own chart. – Add filter and Exclude the Value
> Values above the national average should start with a + and below should start with a -The national average is the line you see at 0%.

>This is NOT a trellis chart, but if you think you can make it work as a trellis chart, go for it!
> The area above zero should be shaded. The hex code to use is #F7E6E2 and it should be shaded from 0- to +10%.
> Pay attention to the gaps between each State. I like how this gives it some breathing room.

Step 1: Connecting to Data Source 
1) Download the data from this link: Download Data
2) Connect to Tableau Using Microsoft Excel Connector

Step 3: Creating Required Calculations
Once you connected Create calculations like below
➢ Unemployed Rate:
SUM([Unemployed])/SUM([Civilian Labor Force Population])

➢ National Rate:
SUM({FIXED [Year] : SUM([Unemployed])/SUM([Civilian Labor Force Population])})

➢ State Vs National
[Unemployment Rate]-[National Rate]

➢ X-Axis:

Used for Trellis Chart X-Axis Combination

➢ Y-Axis:

Used for Trellis Chat Y – Axis Combination

➢ Line End:
(if ATTR({FIXED [State]:MAX([Year])})=ATTR([Year]) then [State vs National] ELSE NULL END )

➢ Line End Color:
[Line end]<0

➢ Modulus of Year:

➢ State Title:

As we created the calculations lets create a visualization and Understand the calculations

Create Visualization and Understand the calculations:
Step 1: Drag X-axis to Columns, Y-axis to Rows and State to Detail ( Check trellis chart in the above lint to know why i am dragging this fields)

Step 2: Click on X-axis and Y-axis –> Compute Using State

Step 3: Drag Year Next to X-Axis Column in Rows, Drag Measure names to filter and Select “State Vs National” and “State Title”

Step 4: Drag Measure Values next to Y-axis in Rows Section and Place measure names in Color

Step 5: Drag Line End calculation next to Measure Values in rows and Select Dual Axis

Step 6: Click on Line end axis and Select Synchronize axis

Step 7:Drag the Line End Color to Color Marks section in Line End Marks card and assign the color as mentioned below

Step 8: Right Click on the Measure Values axis and Select Edit Axis

Step 9: Edit the Axis by selecting Fixed in the range and Provide the values as mentioned below

Step 10: Drag the State field to Text in the measure Values mark card and select the text alignment as mentioned below

Step 11: Again Right Click on the edit axis –> Add Reference Line

Step 12: Select the Band –> Provide the Minimum and Maximum Value as mentioned Below –> As well select the color Code “#F7E6E2”

Step 13: Click on Year Axis –> Edit Axis –> Tick Marks and Change the value accordingly as Mentioned Below

Step 14: Drag Line End Value to Text Section in Line End Marks Card

Step 14: Click on the Line End field in the Marks Section –> Select the format –> Provide the number format like below

Step 15: Our Outline is Ready after little bit formatting We will get a view like below
